How it works

From your answers to everything signed, stored and registered

  1. Choose and answer

Pick your service and answer our questions online. Not sure about something? Pick "Not sure" and we'll explain.

  2. Confirm your identity

A quick photo ID and selfie check on your phone.

  3. Book your advice call

Choose a time. We review your answers first, then advise you in about 15 minutes.

  4. Approve your drafts

Within 5 working days of your call (2 with our expedited service), we send your will and LPAs with a plain-English letter explaining every part. Nothing to pay yet.

  5. Pay one invoice

Once you approve, we send a single invoice: your fixed fee and the £92 government fee per LPA. Pay by bank transfer.

  6. Sign with our guide

Step-by-step instructions for you and your witnesses, or we visit you to supervise signing.

  7. We do the admin

We check every signature, store your will, register it, and send your LPAs to the government for registration.

How we can help

Three things every family needs to get right

Wills

  • No will? You lose control over who inherits your assets.
  • No trust? You lose control over how people deal with your assets.
  • No Lasting Power of Attorney? Who decides for you if you lose capacity?

Probate

Grant only or executor support

  • Helping executors get the power to act: the grant of probate.
  • Using that power to administer the estate.
  • Guidance on their legal and fiduciary duties.

Complete the questionnaire and we'll find you a trusted firm.

Conveyancing

  • Competitive prices from trusted, reputable law firms.
  • Buy-to-let mortgage? We know firms on a wide range of lender panels.
  • Already have a solicitor? We'll find you competitive independent legal advice.
  • Buying jointly but borrowing in one name? We'll find you independent legal advice.

See how we compare

Why it costs less

Many law firms package your will, your LPAs and later your estate into one service, often naming themselves as your executors. You then pay their rates for everything, years from now, with no chance to shop around. We do it differently.

Why your will and LPAs matter

A will makes sure the right people inherit and look after your children. LPAs let people you trust make decisions for you if you can't. Without them, the law and the courts decide.

We never name ourselves as your executor

Your family chooses who helps when the time comes. Nothing ties them to us, or to any firm. If you need a professional executor or attorney, we can refer you to an independent, SRA-regulated firm.

Your family gets expert help later

When your executors need help, we introduce them to an experienced, award-winning probate firm for a fixed-fee quote. Free, with no obligation.

The right specialist for each job.

Questions

Common questions

Are you solicitors?

No. We are a specialist will writing business. Wills and LPAs don't have to be prepared by a solicitor. Work only solicitors can do, such as probate applications, and estate administration, is done by regulated solicitors' firms. We can introduce you to one.

When do I pay?

Nothing until you have seen and approved your drafts. Then we send one invoice with your fixed fee and the £92 government fee for each LPA, which we pay to the Office of the Public Guardian for you. Pay by bank transfer within 7 days; we post your signing pack or visit you once it arrives. Trusts and estate work are quoted after a free call. We will never change our bank details by email.

Do I need to come to an office?

No. Everything is online and by phone or video. You sign at home with our guide, or we can visit you to supervise signing anywhere in Bedfordshire or within 50 miles of it.

How long does it take?

Drafts are ready within 5 working days of your call. Need them sooner? Our expedited service delivers them within 2 working days, for 30% added to our fee. LPAs then take several months for the government to register; no one can speed that part up.

Is my information safe?

Your answers are encrypted, ID checks use a secure provider, and we only use your details to prepare your documents, as set out in our privacy notice.

What if I change my mind later?

One round of changes to your draft is included. After signing, you can update your will at any time; we'll quote a fixed fee.

What happens if you close?

Your stored will and any work in progress pass to another approved provider on the same terms, and we tell you first.
